N.C. Triangle Chapter's Annual Durham Bulls Outing

This year, the Northwestern alumni club is hosting the annual outing at a Durham Bulls game for club members, other local alums, and other Big Ten alumni on Thursday, June 5. The evening includes a buffet supper as well as seeing the Bulls play the Richmond Braves from the viewing/partying space between third base and home plate.

Last year, the Triangle Penn State Chapter hosted the event at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Downtown Durham. Northwestern partnered with us and we had in excess of 90 participants. Northwestern has opened the event to include a few more Big Ten chapters. Bring your business cards and prepare to be social.

The cost for the evening ($25 per person, Children under 5 are free) includes game tickets and a buffet supper served right where we will congregate - and only for us.

All Penn State alumni and friends are invited to join us on Friday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at the Wine Merchant in Raleigh. We will be sampling South African wines.

Admission is $15 for an individual and $25 per couple. This is our third wine tasting. During the first wine tasting we compared Californian and French wines. The second wine tasting 60-plus alumni sampled Italian wines. TriPSU will provide a cheese plate.

Durham Bulls Game

All Penn State alumni and friends are invited to join us on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. as the Durham Bulls take on the Pawtucket Red Sox.

The registration deadline in Monday March 19 at noon. Tickets are $22 and includes an all you can eat buffet. We will be in the party deck on the third base side. This will be a great chance to mingle and meet other alumni in the area.

Children 5 and under do not need a ticket. Children 6 and older need a ticket for entrance.

Bowl-A-Thon-A-Rama...

Dear Triangle Penn Staters,

We hope you will join us and the other Triangle Big Ten Alumni at the first annual Big Ten Bowl-A-Thon on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Mardi Gras Bowling Center in Durham.

We are cooperating with the Triangle Ivy League Alumni for this event, which runs from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday, February 23, 2007. The last day to sign-up is February 15, 2007.

We will limit Big Ten involvement to 100 people (5-6 per lane). The costs are $15 for individuals and $25 per couple, including shoe rental.
