Football Tickets and Game Parties

All members of the Triangle Chapter are encouraged to request tickets to games of their choice.  This year, a pair of tickets and a parking pass are $105.

Each year, a member may request as many tickets as they like for as many games as they wish. Each request should have its own request form and check for the correct amount. Request for multiple games may be made with one request form and one check.

See below for the Triangle Chapter's criteria for issuing tickets. We offer this criteria to insure that as many different members as possible get a fair chance to attend a game.

Football Ticket Allocation Policy
All current members of the Triangle Chapter are encouraged to request tickets to games of their choice.

Each year, a member may request as many tickets as they like for as many games as they wish. Each request should have its own request form and check for the correct amount. Request for multiple games (i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice, etc) may be made with one request form and one check.

The Triangle Chapter criteria for issuing tickets is based on:

1) Years of service on the Board (past and present)

2) Consecutive years of membership to the Triangle Chapter.

3) Available tickets are divided into pairs if we receive more than one request for any game. This is to allow as many members as possible to receive tickets.

4) If a member received tickets for a game in the last two years or for a game earlier in the current year, their request/s is moved to the bottom of the list.

This again is to insure that as many different members as possible get a fair chance to attend a game.

Acquisition of tickets:
At present, the Chapter has three avenues in which it obtains tickets.

1) Members prearrange with us to sell their season tickets for home and away games for resale to our members. At present we get four tickets and two parking passes by this means.

2) The Alumni Association offers tickets to several games via a drawing. When we use this system, 20 to 30 members may go to a designated game. These must be requested and paid for before the start of the football season. These tickets are difficult to make use of because ticket purchase must be made in the summer before most people know their fall plans.

3) Anyone inside or outside the Chapter sells their tickets due to their inability to use them to a certain game or games. This usually happens two or three weeks prior to game day and is difficult to execute. We give priority to members selling tickets if we have more tickets to sell than requests.

Over the past ten to twelve years we have found that the "Big" games have high demand (6 or 8 requests) and the other games have few or no requests. If you really want to make it up to a game, requesting a game early in the season and one with a lower profile will greatly increase your chances. Most years we must send tickets to other Chapters just to avoid taking a loss.

We encourage members to think of our Chapter if they have season tickets and can not use them all. Giving Triangle members a chance to make it up for a game and visiting the campus is a great way to renew the ol' Penn State pride.
