2006 Membership Drive Underway
Join the Triangle Penn State Chapter
This year, we have added a new feature to our website, the option of using your debit or credit card to join the Triangle Penn State Chapter. Now you can complete the entire process on-line through Paypal™.
You also have the option of donating additional funds to the Triangle Chapter's endowed scholarship to Penn State using our online payment method.
Last year we had a record number of memberships in the club’s history - our goal this year is 300.
Click on the link below to begin the membership process. Membership can also be done the traditional way by printing the membership for and mailing it, along with a check, to Dan Stahlman.
Benefits of Memberships
Our membership dues are $15 per family per year. As always, $5 of the $15 membership dues is set aside for the Triangle Chapter's endowed scholarship to Penn State. Last year, we awarded $1,900 to Triangle area students attending Penn State.
As a member of our Chapter, you will receive quarterly newsletters updating you on Chapter events. You will also receive informative emails during Football season and the rest of the year to remind you of other special events.
Members receive perks and price reductions at many of our events, when applicable.
For example, football game parties are arranged for EVERY Penn State Football game. Chapter members receive free raffle tickets at football game parties.
We also organize community service activities on behalf of Chapter members such as the Komen Race for the Cure. Valuable networking opportunities are available to members through our Chapter social events. Events held last year included Silent Film night at the NC Museum of Art and a wine tasting event, as well as our recent Chapter Picnic, which was attended by more than 50 local Penn State Alumni.
Penn State football tickets are made available to members using a seniority-based system.
We have added an additional incentive for you to join our Chapter. If we receive your membership application and dues before August 31, 2006, you will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of tickets and a parking pass to a Penn State home football game. This year, we will be giving away two tickets to the homecoming game against Illinois on October 21, 2006.
If you donate to the Triangle Chapter's endowed scholarship to Penn State, you will receive an extra chance at winning the football tickets.
The drawing will be held at the first game party on September 2, 2006. You need not be present to win, but your membership must be received by August 31, 2006.
Please help us reach our membership goal this year and make this the best year ever for the Triangle Penn State Chapter.
For the Glory,
Jeff Blum
